Our History

Ionie Dothard & Eulette Arrington

Ionie Dothard (daughter of Jennie Lee Lancaster Boykin) and Eulette Arrington (daughter of Ada Lancaster Joiner) conceived and planned for a family get together at a park to socialize and have a joyous occasion for family members and friends, rather than just at funerals. The first get together was on a Saturday in 1970 in Cincinnati.

Our Mission

The mission of the descendants of Ruben Lancaster and Maryann Lancaster Thompson Family Foundation is to ensure that the ties that have bound the families of a brother and sister since circa 1830 will remain unbreakable for centuries to come and in perpetuity through an annual family reunion; to promote education amongst our family, to ensure the Lancaster legacy remains intact for future generations and to render service to those in-need in the communities in which the descendants reside.
